Long Course State Championships and Junior Olympics

Georgia Tech - July 15-18, Hosted by Gwinnett Aquatics

And they're off.  The first day of racing is in the books for the 2021 GA Long Course 14U State Champs!  Emma Reiser, Bennett Baer, Katelyn Borland and Gavin Halusic all claimed the title of distance king in their respective events.  Now the other 300 athletes get in the game tomorrow as 11-14 prelims/finals starts.  Please check the schedule below as some sessions start times have changed. 

The 2021 Age Group State Champs will be held Thursday July 15 - Sunday July 18 at Georgia Tech. Over 700 athletes from over 50 swim clubs will attend this premier age group competition for our LSC. The meet will feature distance events Thursday afternoon, prelims/finals for 11-14 yr olds Friday - Sunday, and timed final events for 10U Friday-Sunday as well as the first ever long course Junior Olympics Meet held concurrently with the 10U state events!

In order to meet remaining COVID-19 guidelines at Tech spectators will not be admitted and all volunteer slots have been filled.

In addition Rocky Mountain Pizza Company, which is just around the corner from the pool, at 1005 Hemphill, will be showing the feed during their open hours!  Watch your kid swim and have a slice and maybe even an adult beverage!

There will be FREE PARKING for coaches, officials and parents in the deck next to the pool.  However entry will be limited to the time period 45 mins before warm-up starts until just after the meet starts.

There will also be plenty of opportunities for this swimmers to pick up some souvenirs or new swim swag so be sure to make arrangements to purchase on-line or for the to be able to make purchases at the meet. 

Friends Unlimited SwimShop will be on hand for any swim supplies (suits, goggles) that the swimmers will need. So be sure your kid has some money. 

QuikPik Graphic and Apparel will be selling the one-of-a-kind team apparel both on-line or on site.  You can order it now and pick it up at the meet or you can buy one at the meet where there will be even more items!  Swimmers who ordered online please pick up your package at the meet, Thursday thru Sunday. All packages remaining then will shipped out the following Monday.

 

ProSwim Visuals will be providing action photography - by reservation only - throughout the competition, one swimmer per heat, first-come, first-served. Reservations are $40 and include two heats of coverage (individual or relay) and a $20 credit for use when proofs are posted online after the meet's conclusion.
